The Salish Sea Restoration Platform

The platform is a web-based content management system—a prototype for peer-to-peer knowledge management to support bioregional regeneration. The platform is a project of the Society for Ecological Restoration and local, state, and federal partners to reduce information siloes and improve collective knowledge management.

The platform allows participating editors to live-edit a population of interlinked, searchable, and categorized web pages based on a topic and place-based categorization system, and upload hard to find public domain documents. It is a shared filing cabinet. It is a vehicle for organizing and synthesizing documents and information shared among restoration professionals as members of a community of practice, so we can collectively develop the craft of restoration.
